How can I get involved?

Here at Addenbrooke everyone is a PACS parent. We're all invested in the success of our students, and therefore our school. We welcome all members of our Addenbrooke community to contribute to our events and programs in any way that feels meaningful to you.

The Power of 3

Power of 3 is our commitment to volunteer three hours every two months, and we hope you'll join us too! There are so many ways to contribute to Addenbrooke. Whether you choose to help in the classroom, assist with an event, raise funds, or chaperon a field trip...every hour counts!

Volunteering benefits everyone...

YOUR CHILDREN
Research shows that children of a volunteer do better in school. They perform better on tests, have greater attendance rates, make higher grades, are better behaved, and are more likely to graduate and continue their education.

YOUR SCHOOL
Volunteers also have a significant impact on the schools they help! Volunteering helps build a strong school community, improves relationships between parents and teachers/staff, maximizes a school's limited financial resources, and fosters an environment of service and mutual respect.

YOURSELF
Volunteers also benefit personally! They develop friendships in the community, get to spend more time with their children, and have opportunities to share their individual skills and talents. Research also shows volunteers have lower stress levels and live longer!

So how will you spend your volunteer hours?

Volunteer Handbook

All parents intending to volunteer with our students are required to review our Volunteer Handbook. This document informs all volunteers of our guidelines and policies so we can maintain a structured and safe community for all.

Don't forget to print, sign, and turn in (to the front office) the last page of the Handbook prior to volunteering at any Addenbrooke event, trip, or activity!
